Our Projects

The Friends of Georgetown Parks and Recreation partners with C3 to sponsor Two Step Inn. The festival has contributed nearly $200 million to the local economy, while the profits fund numerous parks and recreation programs.

Park Funding

A contribution of $500,000 was made for the purchase of new park land intended for the future development of SE Park. This area is rapidly growing, and the investment aligns with the objectives of the Georgetown PARD Master Plan, which aims to provide more parks and open spaces.

Rec on the Go Van

Rec on the Go is a program that brings activities and games to local neighborhood parks. The Friends of Georgetown Parks & Recreation purchased a dedicated van for $70,000 to support these community events.

Parks and Recreation Scholarships

Fund $50,000 per year in scholarships for recreation activities, assisting residents with recreation memberships, classes, and program fees.
